9/25/22 – A Living Hope – part 2

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
1 Peter 1:3

Living Hope is anchored in the past – Jesus rose from the dead (Mt 28:6)

Living Hope continues in the present – Jesus is alive (Colossians 3:1)

Living Hope endures throughout the future – Jesus promises eternal, resurrection life (John 3:16, 4:14, 5:24, Romans 6:22, 1 Cor 15:23)

The believer’s living hope is solid and secure: “We who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us”. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 6:18-20)
