The Fallen, The Fooled, and The Faithful Follower                                                     (II Thessalonians 2-3)

There will be 3 distinct groups of people before and after the Lord’s return

The Fallen – “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind…. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first…” (II Thes 2:1-3)

The Fooled – “…. and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God … The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (II Thes 2: 4, 9-10)

The Faithful Follower – “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. And we have confidence in the  Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you… For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us”                                                                                                   (II Thes 3: 3-4, 7)
