Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,”  vs. 2-3
 
Follow up questions for 2 Peter 1:1-11
 
Opening question / Activity – As a teenager, what did you desire to to most? Did this desire grow or change as an adult? How so?
 
Read 2 Peter 1:1-11
 
Focus on verse 1-4 ( verse one shows just how much Peter identified himself fully with the risen Christ! He is His slave )
 
1. In these verses, Peter writes that through Jesus Christ, “we have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness.” vs. 3. Which of these things was the most important when you first became a Christian? How about now?
 
2. Peter goes on to remind us that we have been given “great and precious promises through the knowledge of Him ( Jesus ) who called us”. Name 2 or 3 of those promises that you hold dearly.
 
Focus on verses 5-11
 
3. “But wait, there’s more!” Faith in Jesus is like receiving an Adventure Pass and a backpack that can be filled with great items for the trip! Name of few of these items available to us as Christians that will help sustain us and strengthen us through the journey. ( See verses 5-7 ) Can you define each of them?
