WHAT TO EXPECT
When you come to Hillside, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, positive environment by people who are genuinely excited to see you. Some folks will dress casually, others may wear a tie. Our morning services last about an hour and a half, and begin with great music. We play an assortment of modern praise songs and traditional hymns played in a “light contemporary” style. All ages meet in the main auditorium to begin the service, singing praises to God. After the singing ends, we share some announcements, and dismiss the kids to go downstairs to their services. Teachers lead the kids to their classrooms. After the service, parents can go downstairs to pick up their children.
FOR YOUR KIDS
Weekends will quickly become your family’s favorite day of the week. Our age-specific lessons will ensure that your child has a ton of fun as they learn about Jesus. Our Hillside teachers are committed to providing an environment that is safe, clean, and educational for your children while you enjoy the service upstairs. The children’s service is not a baby-sitting service. They will learn a Bible lesson and have a memory verse for the week. We have bi-weekly activities for teens as well as a Tuesday Bible Study at Camp Julian Oaks. Younger kids have a Tuesday night kid’s club – Julian Bible Clubs at the church. During the summers, we go to summer camp. Camps are available for Junior age through high school. We also have a week long VBS at the church.
