Review: In chapter one of the letter to the Hebrews, the writer thoroughly established the preeminence of Jesus Christ by listing his exclusive attributes and highlighting His superiority over the angels. With chapter one as the premise, the writer now presents a stern warning to all who would reject Him / neglect such a salvation….
Read Hebrews chapter two in its entirety and be prepared to discuss the following questions
1. In light of verses 1-4 and in light of the whole counsel of God, respond to this assertion with a partner: “There’s many ways to get to heaven; Jesus is just one of them.”
2. How and why was Jesus made “lower than the angels” ? (v. 9) What is His position now? (a bit of a review here)
3. According to verses 10-20, what did the sufferings of Christ accomplish? Find a couple other scripture references to add.
