Hall of Faith! – Hebrews 11

Review: In Chapter 10, we were told to “Hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering”, for He who promised is faithful”.  We were reminded (once again) of the insufficiency of the Old Covenant sacrificial system under the Mosaic law to provide forgiveness and remove guilt and the all sufficiency (once and for all) of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ to provide total forgiveness, removal of guilt, and salvation! In addition, the writer of Hebrews points out the importance of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives (v. 15-18), bearing witness of Jesus Christ and confirming His word in our hearts and minds (see Jeremiah 31:31). Knowing all this, we Christians under the New Covenant ought to have immense gratitude to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, great confidence in our prayer life, and undying compassion for one another.
